It applies to the CBX website at charlestonbusinessexchange.com, the CBX mobile and web application available at charlestonbusinessexchange.app, and any related forms, emails, or services CBX operates (together, the “Services”).

  • Create an account in the CBX app

  • Participate in meetings, events, or community activities

This may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, business or profession, faith and referral-compatibility responses provided on the membership application, login credentials, and any other details you choose to share.

  • Pages or screens viewed, links clicked, and time spent
  • Referring website and the dates and times of your visits

If CBX offers a text message program, you can opt out by replying STOP to any message.

8. The CBX App

If you use the CBX app at charlestonbusinessexchange.app, the following additional terms apply:

  • Account information. Creating an account may require your name, email address, and a password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Device permissions. The app may request permissions on your device, such as notifications. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.
  • Push notifications. If you enable notifications, CBX may send you updates about meetings, events, and community activity. You can turn these off at any time in your device or app settings.
  • Usage data. The app may collect information about how you interact with its features in order to improve performance and reliability.
  • App distribution. The CBX app is available for iOS and Android devices through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. These stores may also collect information under their own privacy policies.

You may request deletion of your app account and associated data at any time by contacting info@charlestonbusinessexchange.com.

9. Data Retention

CBX keeps your personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your membership or community relationship, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, CBX takes reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

CBX uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. You share information at your own risk.

CBX may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. If the changes are significant, CBX may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after any update means you accept the revised policy.
